Zuzanna Otulak (Zuzanna Synoradzka-Wróbel) is a multidisciplinary artist born in Warsaw. She graduated from the Faculty of Interior Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She creates both design and artistic works. As an illustrator, she has collaborated with institutions and animation studios, and published in magazines such as Kikimora, Tygodnik Powszechny, Newsweek Extra. She has shown her work at exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including: Illustrators' Salon at the Poznań Book Fair, 3rd TKO Miniprint exhibition in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka.
In her work, she balances on the border between fantasy and artistic-scientific exploration. A key element of her work is nature, exaggerated in its forms, shapes, and colors, inspired by the notion of a past era, traces of which can be found in archaeological discoveries, but also by an era yet to be explored, drawn from futurological visions. Her work incorporates elements of mythology as well as the symbolism of theatrical costume and mask. She combines the need for closeness to nature with a surrealist vision of a new world.
